I grabbed the phone, and Sis' needed some help with her new place in Rialto. A few "want to-be", gang-bangers keep writing on the walls of her condominium. After repainting wall after wall, the President of the Homeowner's Association decided to hire security. This was right up my alley, I thought. After consulting with Mr. Henry "the president", for a few hours over the phone; I took a trip to Compton and in minutes, I had a five-man crew desperate to use a gun somewhat legally. The first day we all met up with the president in rialto, at my sister's place. We had a brief conference about the contract. I couldn't believe i was looking at some full fledge gang-member's willing to do a job as rent a Cops. Provided with security jackets, flash lights, and our own personal weapons, we, "the crew", came up with zones, and areas to ensure our safety if one of us went down. To add, I had one of the loudest hood-whistles and would give it up to alarm the crew of any potential dangers. Buy The Book Now: Obedience Over Sacrifice By Cornelius Epps

OBEDIENCE OVER SACRIFICE
It was in the year of 1995, I was dipping through Compton, after evading some more draws, when the homeboy Train stopped me at his house on Caldwell and asked me to park for a minute to listen to some tracks that he and his brother was making for Ice-cubes, "Wicked Album". After five minutes of listening and bangin' to the beat, Train lowers the volume to the track, and stated, 'you know Eazy is doing his Compton City G video today at the homeboys' smog shop, on Alondra. Yea! that's cool, I replied, but retaining a leader, yet stubborn attitude, I couldn't find myself to be a fan under another man whom I really didn't know, I just so happen to bone his sister. Once I left Train's, I ran into a Mexican, a Piesa, who offered me a deal on a couple of pounds of weed. My money was slow too, besides, I was getting tired of eating peanut butter and jelly. I thought to myself, 'I'm doing good though, don't turn back into the game.' Putting the Piesa dude off, He stated,'whenever you need me my friend, I'll be here.' Caught in traffic, the homeboy Skeet in the Bottoms paged me, which sent me to a phone booth. Returning his call, he asked, 'I'f I wanted to go to the studio in Tarzana to hear some tracks. Taking him up on the offer, I made my way over to the Pueblos. From here, we drove to the city of Tarzana from the "101, The Ventura Freeway." After parking the car, we walked to a building, and at the entrance stood an off-duty cop not wearing his badge of honor, only the uniform. 'Turn around, face the wall, and put your hands up, he stated,' as he patted all of us down before allowing us to enter the building. Once inside, we listened to some tracks for about an hour, until I felt this off beat not coming out the studio speakers; Boom...boom...boom, it was Tupacs' shed so many tears' banging in Suges dooley-truck. The homeboys in the studio panicked like some ho's facing King-Kongs dick; whispering, 'here comes Suge,' and straightening up the area in which they sat. As he entered, Suge viewed over all our faces, before he complained to the fellaz by saying, 'you niggaz better stop bringing new mutha-fuckaz to my spot every time ya'll come here.'

Forty Years ago, in the summer of August; he was born in 1969, an African American Boy, who was gifted to lead but was manipulated to follow the misguided teachings of six older siblings and a mother who maintained order by way of bloodshed. In a dammed if I do, or dammed if I don't type of an upbringing. Surviving under strenuous conditions is what I had to call home. Never mind living in the Pueblo Del Rio Housing Projects, where the LAPD often times failed to respond to"Shots-Fired." As the kid developed, so did his skill to recognize the " worldly love" from family members who loved him conditionally, but came short of the perfect love ordained by God. For their lack of knowledge to prepare a GOD-based foundation; the Boy and his family, had to be chastened with the murder of one brother. This tragedy would happen during the Crack-Cocaine Epidemic in the mid-80's, which was 2-years after the family relocated to a home in the City of Compton. The loss was totally misunderstood for years; the Boy would live a life walking through the deserts of adversity for over twenty himself. Before his hidden football talents would make the head lines in The Sacramento Bee for shaken the Drug Crash-Unit, and for leading the Sacramento Police Department on a 2 mile foot-pursuit. Not to boast, beg, or gossip, I've learned, "disobedience serves knowledge for obedience." Go step by step through the minds of our children, and teenager's. From the perspective of one who rehabilitated himself through God, and the want to. Learn how respect for Law Enforcement and prison-politics deepened after 9-11. These are real locations that will have you on your toes, if not on your knees from laughing at a cold sense of humor. In The G-Above We Trust, and Thank you JESUS!
